The woman set on fire on the CTA Blue Line in a random act of violence has been released from the hospital.

A woman was cut with a sharp object during a fight on a CTA Blue Line train near Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Bethany MaGee, 26, was discharged from Stroger Hospital after being set on fire by Lawrence Reed on a CTA train, and has thanked the burn team for their exceptional care and support.
