Domain's latest quarterly house price report has found the cost to buy a home increased by 9.9 per cent in the last quarter of 2025, to a median of $1,087,762.

They both boast golden beaches, 82-degree fahrenheit summer days and glamorous waterfront real estate, but when it comes to comparing property prices there is a great divide between Perth and Sydney.

The report was developed by urban design and strategy firm Ghel throughout last year and will come before council on Tuesday for consideration.
