Before that, as far as filmed DC adaptations went, there was just the backdoor pilot Superman and the Mole Men and the comedic big screen adaptation of the Batman TV series.
It would be stupid for Netflix to buy Warner Bros. and then kill James Gunn’s DC Universe, but none of these companies are known for not being stupid.
