On this day 10 years ago, 6024 'King Edward I' worked the appropriately titled 'Great Western 175' special, organised by UK Railtours. The train originated at Paddington and was hauled by D1015 Western Champion as far as Bishops Lydeard. On the West Somerset Railway, The King piloted the Western to Minehead, before working the return leg all the way back to Paddington via the Berks & Hants.
