Sleepy Saturday sleeper shark. 😴 The Pacific sleeper shark, Somniosus pacificus, lives on continental shelves and slopes in temperate waters all around the world. This shark can be found from the surface to 2,000 meters and can be up to to 4.4 m (14 ft) long. Pacific sleeper sharks eat bottom-dwelling organisms such as fishes, octopuses, squids, crabs and snails. They are also known to scavenge the seafloor for dead animals such as marine mammals. | MBARI
